Highly experienced sailor Nigel King, known for his participation in the Volvo Ocean Race, Jules Verne Trophy and Solitaire to Figaro 2009, was officially announced as a Suunto Ambassador at the London Boat Show on Friday 8th January 2010. Nigel will be promoting Suunto’s range of precision marine watches and compasses as well as testing and using the product in all his forthcoming sailing projects.

Commenting on his appointment Nigel said, “Having used Suunto watches since the 2001 Volvo Ocean Race, I’m delighted to endorse them as the idea watch for racing yachtsmen. In the recent 2009 Solitaire du Figaro I relied throughout the race on the barometer on my Suunto Yachtsman and was extremely impressed with its reliability and accuracy.”
