Nigel King is our most experienced Figaro sailor and he includes the Volvo 60 circum-navigation and theTP52 circuit in his professional CV.

Nigel's 2009 Figaro results are the best for a Brit in the recent history of this demanding solo event. Finishing 6th on the final leg, Dingle to Dieppe via the Needles Fairway, Nigel was just 9 minutes off the first place. 20 boats finishing in the first 20 minutes after 511 miles of racing gives an indication of the intensity of this unique competition.

Nigel has just returned from a successful RC44 campaign in Dubai with Team Aqua, his talk at the Solo Racing Festival will include the 2009 La Solitaire and he  will focus on the training and preparation required to compete at the professional level in France.
