Aqua take the first event of the RC44 season

A three hour wait for the breeze to fill in delayed proceedings on the final day of the RC44 Puerto Calero Cup, AEZ took their second race win in Lanzarote, but Team Aqua were not far behind giving them their first event win of the 2012 season. Puerto Calero has shown to be a real test for the 14 teams competing in the first leg of the RC44 Championship Tour. Full on start to the RC44 season

Following on from his success in the 2009 La Solitaire du Figaro, Nigel’s desire to be at the fore front of the Class Figaro Beneteau fleet and work towards being the first UK winner of La Solitaire du Figaro has been further heightened. It is hoped that this will be the spring board for both Nigel and his partners to a successful Vendée Globe campaign.

Nigel's passion for sailing has seen him involved in the Volvo Ocean Race, the Jules Verne Trophy, Olympic trials and many classic yachting events around the world.
